A love hate relationship

Sunday and Monday it snowed. It snowed for a long time for here. It was very beautiful and I love the beauty but it had our hills and curves quite slick. On Monday there were twelve cars wreck on just one hill close to the house. And that is where my hate comes in. I am deathly afraid of the roads when they have snow and ice. So I am usually stuck at home going stir crazy. I guess just the thought of not being able to get out if I should choose is the problem. I was thrilled to make a trip to Wal-Mart today and I guess that shows you just how desperate I had become. Anyway, things are back to normal if there is such and I am glad to be free again. until i return

Lady Beetles

I have always thought lady bugs, not the bug itself but cute little pictures and drawings and the likes, where cute. But around fall we developed a problem with them. We couldn’t go out of the house without being attacked. Then they started getting into the house. They covered the lights and the ceilings. As it started getting colder some of them started to die. Then they wound up on the floors and counters and everywhere else. I began to hate them, even all the cute little pictures. So I did a little research and found out that what we had was not really a lady bug. They were lady beetles. Asian to be exact and they do not have a known predator in the U.S. In fact there is also no pesticide for them. So my vacuum has seen overtime and I will dislike the lady bug and beetle from here on out.

Muse Wanted
I am looking to fill a full-time position. Must have a sense of humor and love music and travel. Flexible hours and spur of the moment availability required. No really. Apparently my muse has taken a permanent vacation and I feel as though I will explode if I do not relieve some artistic frustration.
Have you every felt like throwing your hands up, leaning back and screaming at the top of your lungs loud and long? Howling at the moon? Turning the music up full blast and dancing naked around a campfire? lol. My only source of relief is to create. Oh to pass this creative ball of gas. til i return

Christmas is over!

So Christmas is over and I am both happy and sad about it. I am happy it is over because it is such a stressful time. Crowds of people. Most of them hurried and rude. You truely get to see the good and the bad of the human race but I will not dwell on these things. I am sad because I enjoy making cards and there is no better time than the holidays for card making and giving.

Tomorrow is my birthday and the fourth is my 20th wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe I have been married for twenty years. It is amazing to think about the fact that I now have been married over half of my life. WOW!

Today my husband was working helping his mom and step-dad with their house and the nail gun miss-fired and shot him in the hand. It was buried about an inch and a half and he had to pull it out.

Well, I guess I am going to stop for now but I am going to post a picture of my grandson before I go. until i return

art site update

Well tonight I have been updating my Ovation site with pictures, drawings and paintings that I have had done for a while now. I haven't done any new works lately. I have been busy working on my Christmas cards and helping take care of my grandson. I have really enjoyed spending time with him but I wish my daughter was better. She had her wisdom teeth cut out and her jaws have been giving her trouble. She has dry sockets. No she doesn't smoke and hasn't used a straw. She is a mouth-breather, she breathes through her mouth when she sleeps and I am sure that is what has caused her troubles. Anyway, I hope to get back to some painting soon. I have one that I started a while back that I would like to get finished. Well it is 2:10 in the morning and I am getting pretty sleepy and I just got my pictures uploaded so I think I am going to get some sleep. til i return

Well, the reason I came here to blog was for the atc club but I haven't really done anything with it. I made the eleven cards for the month of November but did not send them off. Then I designed a card for the month of December but never made them. But for some good news. I have somehow managed to get my daughter enjoying a bit of card making. Mostly romantic greeting type cards for her bf but so what it has got us spending time together doing something and I am enjoying it very much.
Today I am going with my daughter, her bf and my 7 month old grandson to have their pictures made. They have been wanting to have pictures made so I told them I would do that for them for Christmas. She just had five wisdom teeth removed so I hope she isn't swollen badly. I would hate for her to look like a chipmonk in her first family portrait.
Well I could probably rattle on all day about things that if anyone screws up and reads this would find very boring but I think I am going to spare the poor soul this time. til i return.
